Yokohama Tires
Yokohama Tire Corporation
Yokohama Tires was established in Japan in 1917 and first entered the US tire market in 1969. Yokohama is currently one of the top tire producers in the world. They manufacture tires for a wide variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, buses, commercial trucks, construction equipment, industrial vehicles, and aircraft.
Yokohama Tires manufactures several different categories of tires such as: ultra-high performance, high performance, and passenger car tires. Yokohama's ultra-high performance category consists of tires such as the Advan Sport, Advan S4, Advan Neova, Advan AO48, Advan AO32R, S Drive, AVS ES100, AVS DB S2, and AVS Sport.
Yokohama's high performance line of tires includes the Avid W4, Avid H4/V4, YK520, Avid T4, Avid S/T, and AS430. The Yokohama Avid T4 is relatively popular amongst Honda drivers because it gives great performance in cornering, acceleration, and stopping power in all kinds of driving conditions. The Yokohama Parada Spec-2 also gets some love from the street tuner community. The Parada Spec2 is engineered to have superior grip, stability, and steering response. The Parada Spec 2 comes in a variety of sizes to fit Honda Civics, Accords, and Preludes. They even have 19-inch sizes for those who run bigger wheels.
Yokohama's "passenger" line of tires includes the Avid TRZ, Avid Touring, and Aegis LS4. The passenger line is more suited to those looking for an "everyday" tire as opposed to high performance (think commuting and not street racing).
