When I got the Neuspeed Race Springs for my '92 Honda Civic Hatchback, I told myself that these will be the last springs I'll ever put on my car.
For someone like me who values handling more than comfort, these are the perfect springs to be using. Very good stability on both straights and corners, with minimal body roll and maximum grip. The front spring rates of 8.7kg/mm keep the front wheels planted on the ground, while the rear 7kg/mm spring rates (with a good rear lower sway bar) give just the right amount of oversteer for those tight turns.
In terms of comfort, if the roads where you live are mostly smooth asphalt, I do not think you'll complain about the ride. Though if they're rough concrete, you'll feel the slight bounciness and hard ride. But then again, one does not get these springs for comfort.
Expect a nice drop (2.25" for the front, 2" for the rear), excellent control and less nose-dive when braking hard. The downside? You will have to replace your OE springs with gas ones, preferably short struts. |
