A minimalist dream

Cons: road noise, sometimes hesitates Pros: Fuel economy, storage hatchback, stick shift, silver color, heads turn The car gets about 66 mpg in warm weather and much less when it is cold and rainy. It suites me perfectly. I drive it over the mountains with my back pack in the back and wish that it would go up rough roads but it is not that type of car. I cannot understand why Honda discontinued this model. This is the neatest car.

The increase in vehicle interaction from the Insights digital display takes driving to a new standard. One where it is possible for precision gas saving. Very little guessing. Bad driving is spelled out right in front of you with lower mpg. Keeps one honest. At least more so than a vehicle w/o the same type of display. My 2006's Marconi sticker claims 57 City 56 Hghwy. I beat that easily. Took about a week for me to regularly beat those numbers. Avg City romps bring 66-70 mpg.

"Indianapolis to Blyhe, CA averaged 78 MPG at 60 MPH!Presently have 55,000 on odometer. Check engine light came on when traveling through Colorado Springs this summer. Stopped at a Honda dealer for check and they determined that the vehicle needed new parts in the converter. The repair was made without cost to us as it was still under warrenty. This is a 2001 car and this occured in the summer of 2006!

"Great all-round commuter car!"

Reviewed on: autos.msn.com
Rating: 4.9 out of 5
Pros:Awesome little car! Fun to drive, with a surprising amount of zip. Gets a little sluggish on hills, but the trade off is unbelievable gas mileage. Gauges on the dash show how the mileage is doing - we have gotten as high as 90 miles per gallon!!! - We average around 65. We can drive and drive and drive this car before we have to go to the gas station!!! Great little 2 passenger car for two old farts with grown children to sport around in.

Pros:So far after 3000 miles I am averaging 59.9 MPG. I can go over 600 miles on a tank of fuel. Climate control works well. Aerodynamic with no interior wind noise. Fillup about $26.00 from empty. Cons:Sound system not ipod ready. Road noise from small hard low rolling resistance tires. Overall review:Have found my experience satisfying. I am doing my part for concerving gas and reducing air pollution.

"I bought a 04 Honda insight with 70k miles and i love it. I drive this car every where and it is very reliable, what else would you expect from a honda. This car is a automatic but they are avaliable in manual transmition. The idle stop feature itself can be turned on or off on the automatic but i have read that on the manual models this stays on all the time. Which basically means that every single time you make a full stop the car shuts completely off except for A/C, radio, and lights.
