Nice Car ... low fuel mileage

Reviewed on: cars.com
Rating: 4 out of 5
"This is a very nice car. It feels like a full size car and gets outstanding acceleration. Unfortunately, even if driven fairly gently, the AVERAGE fuel mileage is 26.5 mpg. That's highway and quite a lot of city driving, but it's till not outstanding for a hybrid."

Glad I bought this car

Cons: back seat doesn't fold down Pros: very comfortable, has great pick up when necessary (unlike many other hybrids) I've had my HAH for 6 months, and if driven in a non-aggressive manner (60-70mph on highway, no quick starts or stops) and maintained well, I usually get around 37 mpg. I do about 75% highway driving and 25% city driving. What is nice about this car is that when you need the speed, it is there and it is always fun to drive.

Cons: Pros: Powerful and very good mpg. I was amazed at how quiet and responsive it is. I tried an 09 Camry and was disappointed with its responsiveness when needed. The 07 Accord can get you out of a pickle, though the Camry does get better MPG. I used to drive an 06 Infiniti M35X that was great, but its' MPG was awful. I am really happy with the Accord and except for not having cooled seats, it is everything that I desired. A performance car with excellent MPG that is very comfortable.

Love my Hybrid!

Reviewed on: cars.com

"I bought my car at the end of 2007. It was one of two Accord Hybrids left on the lot. Honda discontinued this model...BIG MISTAKE! I love this car! Besides it's comfort, fresh look, and a good amount of HP in that 3.0L motor, the gas mileage is great! I average 30 mpg through Seattle's stop and go traffic, everyday! My husband and I drove from Seattle to Minot, ND and we averaged 40 mpg on our trip. We were absolutely amazed!

Cons: average styling, not state of art hybrid system, no bluetooth, Pros: great fuel economy with great performance, nicely finished interior, regular gas I have driven my Accord Hybrid for 2 years. The gas milage 26 city 34 hwy, has be very good considering the performance of the engine. Recently drove a Prius and the true hybrid system works better than the Accord's but the Prius is nowhere near as nice or as much fun to drive.

Disappointed

"In February of 2007 I got rid of my SUV and bought a 2007 Accord Hybrid in the interest of the environment. Initially, I thought it was the best car I'd ever had. However, it did not take long for me to realize that I had made a poor choice. The mileage hovers around 19 - 21 mpg, and I got 18 - 19 on my SUV. And when I excel, the exhaust system makes a noise like a gunshot as the car jerks.

Smooth Honda

"In February 07, i traded in my Audi A4 for a honda accord hybrid. I was really impressed by the test drive, as the car seemed real smooth (more like a buick than a honda) along with 253 horses, which did a lot of this real light honda. I drove SUV's for many years and switched to an Audi to save some money on gas and get some performance. Soon I got tired of my Audi and wanted to experience some comfort and some real good gas mileage. That's why i turned to a 253 HP hybrid.

Highway Dream Machine

"What a pleasure to drive out on the open road, the miles just fly by as this Eco-Mussel Car sips the gas. Averaging about 37 MPG on the highway this beast has power to spare. Very comparable to a V8 luxury sedan in size, power and comfort. Even though it only gets about 22-24 MPG in the city that is still way better than anything this size with this much power. My V.W. Jetta only gets 24-26 MPG in the city and it is small and gut-less.

Making The Case for The HAH

Reviewed on: cars.com
Rating: 5 out of 5
"The reason the car was not popular was price/fuel economy vs the Prius. With depreciated prices this car is now a value. The HCH has a host of little improvements over the standard Accord without IMA hybrid technology. Its the only 7th gen 06 - 07 model with VCM, electric power steering, and 16 in tires with a v6. It is heavier improving ride and I believe quieter. The exterior styling is more refined with the mirror turn signals and tail light amber turn signals.

"This car for the money reaches near unbelieveable if that be believeable. It runs away from almost all BMW's and all mercededes save amg's. On the highway the mpg approaches 38-40 depending if you can keep it below 70mph.I choose this hybrid for the confort level over toyota's hybrid and civic hybrid for added size, much better performance and moonroof. None of which can you get on either of the former. The electronic extras for the price are amazing:i.e.
