Pros:Styling: Classic "Box on wheels," great handling, quality build inside and out.
Cons:Could use maybe 10-20 more horsepower and slightly bigger wheels. (17" is pretty small: 18 or even 19 would be fine.)
Overall review:Traded a 2-year old GMC Acadia and would not look back. The Honda is solid: Bulletproof design and execution. Handles great, and is quiet and composed on the road.

Pros:Gadget-lover's dream! It had every feature I could want, and then some. Power is good, comfort is excellent, and gets decent mileage. Has more room all around than my 2003.
Cons:The glovebox redesign has me befuddled. Not sure what they were aiming for there.
Overall review:I have a family of 5, and this vehicle addresses every need (and want) a family that travels could ask for. Comfort, size, mileage, and features round this suv out flawlessly.

I like the SUV the only thing that bugs me is the gas mileage, i have a long commute and have to gas up about twice a week! I agree with the noise factor, its hard to listen to the radio and have the sun roof open, so i keep it closed :(

Overall review:Overall this is a great family car. Room for two car seats and a booster seat, as well as two dogs in the back. Can haul a lot from the home improvement store. Interior finishes are great, and its a smooth quiet ride.

"Interior is great!! Hands free/voice recognition on all functions. Plenty of cubby holes to hide stuff and lots of really cool features. And as of this morning, I'll never drive anything but the Pilot. Had bad accident with side air bag deployments. Aboslutely no one injured in car. Car may be totalled, but its remarkable how absolutely no one was hurt.Very good feeling walking away as opposed to ambulance."

"We bought 2011 Pilot Touring Model. Touring model had some extra features which we really liked and we needed it. We also added accessories like chrome side steps and all season floor mats. For medium or big size families its the best SUV out there unless you are a Minivan fan. For young families minivan sound & looks boring. We were really interested in Acura MDX, but when we looked and test drove Pilot we loved it.

"We started looking at an MDX last spring to replace my wife's Subaru as our family had outgrown it. We purchased a pearl white metallic Touring Pilot though after driving it! She love sitting up higher, the handling is excellent, the power is good, it does well in the snow, and we love the new look. We have about 10K on ours now and the only work I have had done is an oil change and the bug deflector replaced as the glue didn't hold on one side.

"We traded in our 2001 Acura MDX for this vehicle because we were headed for our second transmission after only 70K miles on the car. Consumer reports wrote glowing reviews of the MDX (still do) but it's still plagued with problems (up to the 2006 and maybe later). We got a Pilot and I thought I did my research only to find out later that the 2011 Pilots may have tranny issues too. So, we have been burned and are hoping that we will be safe. Acura was terrible with their support of the problem.

"Hello,We bought this car in 2008, and up to date I don't think I have gotten in a more comfortable vehicle of the same pricing. I've driven it a few times and I just love the suspension and braking system. The sound inside the vehicle is very minimum and it has everything I need. It has never left us stranded anywhere. I wouldn't change it."

Pros:Our new touring pilot does everything very well. Traded in our 2007 yukon denali. Ergonomics are great. Front seats are very comfortable, 2nd row feels roomier than our Denali, 3rd row is definitely roomier than denali! I know, less hp than the yukon but combined mpg's about 21 since new and getting better. Great storage, all the tech gadgets you need, quiet, and 25k on the odo and still doesn't know what the shop is! Great family rig and a joy to drive!

"Had our 2011 Pilot LX for 8 months and we're very happy with it. Even without the extras of the higher trim lines, it's a well rounded package -- does many things very well.Has room for 8 (and we think the 3rd seat is better than any other in the size class -- has room for 3 smallish adults).With the 3rd seat stowed, it has plenty of cargo room.

Pros:The ride is extremely smooth. It handles well on hills. The vehicle is well appointed, has lot's of storage in it. When you close the doors you feel like it is a solid car. AC works fabulous and the back rows have their own controls which is great.

Cons:The windshield view area is very poor as compared to my previous 2006 Pilot. There is about 3 inches less viewing area from the top to the bottom of the windshield. This part of the car was not designed very well and as a tall person (6'1") I do not intend to keep this car and intend to get a different vehicle.

Pros:This is the first time that I own an SUV. I tested drive both the Cross Tour and the Pilot. I previously owned an Odyssey; meaning more space comparing to the Pilot. The Pilot is very quiet. The seats are roomy and comfortable even the 3rd row. The power and transmission are good enough to push the car around the city and on highway. The VMC (cylinders deactivated mode) is hardly noticed when it on but does not save much gas. The navigation is fast.

Pros:Love the flexibility, design and storage of center console. Lots of gadgets and techie stuff. Great sound system-surround sound watching DVDs is amazing. A/C works well in hot Louisiana summers-it will freeze you out. Kids can easily work all the A/C, entertainment controls in the rear. 15 mpg in town-stop and go traffic, over 20 on highway-much better than my GMC Yukon. Lots of room and flexible seating for kids and adults-3rd row actually has leg room.

"After two Ford Exporers, I made the switch to a Honda Pilot with my recent purchase. The primary motivation was the satisfaction we've had with our 2005 Honda Odyssey, which has been terriffic. I put over 100K miles on each Explorer, and plan to do the same with the Pilot, so it seemed that the additional expense would more than pay for itself on the back end with longer ownership, given the Honda reputation and my driving style.

"I love my Pilot. Roomy and very comfortable. I like the storage cubbies in the console area. The handling is amazingly good, corners way better than the sedan I traded in. Great in snow and ice. No worries about getting to work or home no matter what the weather. There is plenty of room in the cargo area for my German Shepherds. The second row seat is comfortable with lots of legroom and room on the floor to put an ice chest or whatever else we want to be able to reach from the front seat.

Only improvement I see is the mileage. 17/23 mpg should be improved to match Honda Odyssey or at least 25mpg on highways. To get more than 21mpg you should be in 65-70 mph range, if speed goes up mpg goes down."

"Just bought EX-L and went on first weekend trip. What an awesome vehicle. Been driving '98 Explorer, '99 Olds Silhouette (replaced with Pilot) and my wife's '08 Tribute. What a great change. We love the Pilot; sits tall (I'm 6'1", 220#) and very comfortable. Rides great, decent mileage for this type vehicle; drive terrific with great handling, especially in curves. Good acceleration. Very roomy, nice amenities in cabin; driver and passenger very comfortable.

"We recently purchased a 2011 EX-L RES and so far we love it. The interior is a little cheaply made and for the money they charge but we got over it because the rest of the vehicle and the options are what sold us - plus it's a HONDA. Thought real hard about getting the touring but 4500.oo more did not seem worth it for the navigation system (That's my opinion not my wife's)."

Overall review:Japanese technology and design. built in USA/Canada.., equals great family SUV. Lived in Japan for 11 yrs.. Car is designed for calm relaxed drivers. Almost luxury SUV but not paying as much compare to other autobrands. Start at the EX-L trim.

"well, first of all, the trunk is way too small, you can't put anything in the trunk without putting down the third row, when you sit in the third row, your knees are constantly against the second row seats, and are very uncomfortable on long trips, there is not one bit of luxury or style, there's plastic every where, the wheels are too small, there's no insulation, so you constantly hear the engine revving, and in the snow the windshield wipers will just decide to stop working.

"We bought our 2011 Pilot EX-L in October 2010. This car has far exceeded our expectations. The interior is roomy and comfortable as well as stylishly designed. The ride is smooth and quiet. It has been on several weekend get aways and has performed wonderfully. I wanted to wait some time before writing a review to be sure of my opinions of the car. "Well my previous vehicle was a Toyota 4Runner so Honda had a lot to live up too. So far they have not. This is really not a truck, it is more like an Accord built as a truck. I have the Pilot EX-L. The interior is nice, leather and heated seats, which is a nice feature. Trunk space is small, unless you put down the third row seating. The truck does not have pickup so you really have to gun it. Does ok in the snow but not great, tires are to small, they need to place larger tires on.

"This is our second Pilot. First was new in 2005, and has been the most reliable, comfortable vehicle we've owned. Extremely low maintenance expenditures, decent mileage, and great hauler of people and goods. Still have it, and intend to for a while! The new Pilot is a replacement for an F150, and serves as a daily driver, occasional off-roader for hunting/fishing, and trailer hauler for weekend projects. So far so good, with no disappointments.
